How the Optimizer Works
01Enter the board width and height in mm
Enter the dimensions of the base board you'll use — wood, MDF, melamine, plywood or particleboard.
02Set the kerf (saw thickness) and margins
The kerf is the material lost on every cut. The optimizer subtracts it automatically so pieces come out exact.
03Add the parts with name and dimensions
List every piece you need to cut, with its width, height and quantity.
04Enable grain direction if the material has a grain
Mark which pieces must follow the grain direction — visible doors and side panels usually need it.
05Press Calculate and get the visual cutting plan
The FFD + Guillotine algorithm automatically works out the layout that wastes the least material.
06Export as PDF or save the project as JSON
Take the cutting plan to the workshop as a PDF, or save the project to continue later.
